
Vocal Context
Overview
Vocal Context is a voice activated solution to automate certain processes of Hiedi Health software. This project was built as part of Heidi Build 2025, a hackathon hosted by Heidi Health.
Problem and Motivation
Clinicians use Heidi Health to document patient information for their personal documentation using its voice recording AI agents. These AI agents automatically align the consultations conversation into particular text-based templates like SOAP Notes (https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/books/NBK482263/ ), H&P (https://med.stanford.edu/content/dam/sm/e4c/documents/H&P%20Writeup%20bench%20012110.pdf ) and many custom created by other clinicians using Heidi Health.
In the clinician workflow, the clinician struggle with automating processes of Heidi Health, which include the following: - Automatic Fetching of Patient Information from the their Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system. - Absence of a handsfree solution to control the Heidi Health Interface. - They have to continously switch in between their previous consultations to get context about the patient's previous consultations. - Context driven information sharing with other clinicians and doctors when referring to other doctors.
Interviews with Clinicians at the Hackathon
We conducted micro interviews with the clinicians and medical experts at the venue of the Hackathon. These interviews were conducted to understand the following:
